Frequently

Asked Questions

What's the best way to get to Big Sky?

By air & by land my friend.

If you're not planning on driving on into town yourself, the Bozeman airport is just minutes outside town and offers everything from shuttles and ride shares to multiple car rental options - we recommend an AWD or 4x4 in the winter.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Probably good to know...

Check-in begins at 4 PM & check-out is at 11 AM. Need a late checkout? Just check with the front desk, and if we can't approve it for your room, you can still store your luggage with us for as long as you need.

Where is Gravity Haus located?

Just where it needs to be.

Gravity Haus is strategically positioned on the way to Big Sky resort, but still nestled nicely into town if you want to explore some restaurants and bars, trails, the river, and other activities outside of the Haus. Here's our location information, or check your reservation confirmation for the exact address + easiest route, especially during winter conditions.

Is parking available?

Yes, and it's included.

When most resort towns come with gnarly parking fees, GH Big Sky lets you hitch up your ride on the Haus.

Do you have ski/board storage (or lockers)?

Yes, your room can fit all your shred sleds.

Our rooms are definitely spacious enough if you're the type who likes to cuddle with your skis, but we also have lockers.

Just talk with the front desk.

Can I store my bags before check-in or after check-out?

Powder days don't wait for room keys.

Yes, bag storage is available so you can roll straight from the road to the mountain (or from check-out to one last mission).

Drop your bags with the front desk.

Is the property pet-friendly?

Good vibes for good boys.

We love dogs and have dog-ready rooms available for a small pet fee that can be added during booking and/or check-in.

*no pet fees for members

Is there a hot tub, sauna or spa?

It wouldn't be a sweet mountain retreat without a tub.

Oh yes, indulge our full workout and recovery area, including saunas, cold plunges & hot tubs.

Do you offer breakfast?

Did you see the breakfast burrito?

Start your morning right with a perfectly pulled espresso at Unravel Coffee - our haus coffee purveyor & roaster. Once the coffee has set in, you can fuel up on light snacks to beasty breakfast burritos - feel free to grab them to go on your way to the slopes.

Here's the online order menu

Is there an on-site restaurant or bar?

Where else did you plan on sipping margaritas?

Terrain Taco is our in-haus taco slinging, margarita mixing & aprés destination. You won't need to venture far to refuel here, with a sweet lobby adjacent walk-up bar, outdoor lounge area & take-out options.

Is there Wi-Fi? Is it good enough for remote work?

Yes, this is Montana, not Uranus.

Wi-Fi is standard & Gravity Haus stays are designed with modern travelers in mind. If you need higher reliability (video calls, uploads), ask about the fastest connectivity areas or our coworking space.

Do you have coworking space?

Yes, we have a coworking area and meeting room.

We've got the essentials for work/life balance - and yes you're allowed to wear your ski pants.

Quick note: Our meeting area is located on the 2nd floor and there is no ADA access.

Do you offer gear demos or rentals?

Yes, only the best delivered right to your room.

We've partnered with Ski Butlers to provide premium ski and snowboard gear rentals. We recommend booking ahead for the best inventory & availability. Gravity Haus Guests recieve 10% OFF gear rentals when you book here - members enjoy 7 complimentary rentals (14 for families) per year & should book gear through the GH Life app.

Can I ship skis/gear to the property?

Send it.

You're welcome to ship items to the property, just give us a call to let us know. Please note that any shipping costs will be covered by you, through the carrier of your choice.

What’s the cancellation policy?

Plans change, we get it.

Cancellation terms depend on rate type and season. The most accurate policy is the one attached to your booking confirmation (refundable vs. prepaid, blackout periods, etc.).

Do you have quiet hours?

We're all here for a good time & some good sleep.

Most hotels observe quiet hours to keep the vibes mellow at night. If you’re traveling with a rowdy group, feel free to call ahead about optimal room placements to keep everyone happy.

Is smoking allowed?

Fresh Montana mountain air only.

Most modern properties are non-smoking indoors (and often non-smoking on balconies/patios). If you need designated areas, ask the front desk.

How do I contact the property?

Fast answers, no runaround.

What are the best things to do in Big Sky?

Other than crushing tacos & big mountain lines?

Big Sky and the Bozeman area in general are a major destination here in Montana. Bozeman is host to a lively college town and vibe, while Big Sky offers some of the most coveted skiing and boarding around. Come in the warmer months for world class flyfishing, hiking, mountain biking, beer & margarita tasting, and more.

Feel free to ask your barista or bartender for the latest local itinerary & where to go for a good time — they know what they're talking about.
