Terrain Taco Winter Park

Lets taco bout it.

Not sure what tastes better, the post-powder paloma - or that breakfast burrito you crushed in the morning. Actually, they're both delicous.

There isn't a bad time to drop by our in-haus refueling station where you can enjoy fresh pulled espresso and brecky sandwiches in the morning, followed by a lively aprés scene and locally sourced tacos as the sun gives way to lively Winter Park nights.

Frequently

Asked Questions

What's the best way to get to Winter Park?

There's a few ways, just don't end up on I-70 Things...

Winter Park is about 70 miles west of Denver and is typically reached by driving I-70 to US Highway 40 over Berthoud Pass. From Denver International Airport, guests can rent a car, reserve a mountain shuttle, or arrange private transportation. During ski season, the Winter Park Express offers select train service from Denver Union Station directly to the resort; travelers can also take the airport train from DEN to Union Station before transferring.

Winter weather can add time and personality to the drive, so check road conditions before leaving and arrive with a properly equipped vehicle when snow is in the forecast.

Mountain Ready Rides offers scheduled airport shuttles & private charters to and from Denver International Airport & beyond

There are also multiple car rental options available - we recommend an AWD or 4x4 in the winter - it's actually the law.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Probably good to know...

Check-in begins at 4 PM & check-out is at 11 AM. Need a late checkout? Just check with the front desk, and if we can't approve it for your room, you can still store your luggage with us for as long as you need.

Where is Gravity Haus located?

Right where you need to be.

Gravity Haus Winter Park is located at 78869 US Highway 40 in the heart of downtown Winter Park. Restaurants, bars, shops, Hideaway Park, and the Fraser River Trail are close by, while Winter Park Resort is roughly five minutes away by car or easily reached using the town’s free transit system.

That puts you close enough to ski, ride, hike, eat, catch a concert, or wander downtown without turning every activity into a transportation project. Back at the Haus, you have Unravel Coffee, Terrain Taco, coworking, a fitness facility, and two outdoor hot tubs under one roof.

Here's our location information, or check your reservation confirmation for the exact address + easiest route, especially during winter conditions.

Is parking available?

Yes - we've got you covered on site.

Self parking is $20/day.

Do you have ski/board storage?

Yes, we've got room for all your shred sleds.

Your room is definitely spacious enough if you're the type who likes to cuddle with your skis - but we also have a gear storage room, storage lockers & common areas.

Just speak with the front desk for extra storage options.

Can I store my bags before check-in or after check-out?

Powder days don't wait for room keys.

Yes, bag storage is available so you can roll straight from the road to the mountain (or from check-out to one last mission).

Drop your bags with the front desk.

Is the property pet-friendly?

Good dogs. Good vibes.

We have dog-ready rooms available, along with the fire pit so that the fur babies can share their stories...or hopefully just nap it out. Pet fees do apply & can be paid for at booking.

*no pet fees for members

Is there a hot tub?

Oh yes, hot tubs.

Nothing like a good soak after a day of ripping saweet lines at the resort or on the track...or after a margarita, or with a margarita? We don't judge, just don't fall asleep in the tub - that's what the rooms are for.

Do you offer breakfast?

Of course, it's one of the best parts of the day!

Start your morning right with a perfectly pulled espresso at Unravel Coffee - our haus coffee purveyor & roaster. Once the coffee has set in, you can fuel up on light snacks to beasty breakfast burritos - feel free to grab them to go on your way to the slopes.

Is there an on-site restaurant or bar?

Do you like tacos & margaritas?

Terrain Taco is our on-site grub hub and libation station. Serving up locally inspired tacos, nachos, quesadillas y mas. Margaritas, local beers and NA options abound - feel free to dine in or indulge in our outdoor garden - or take it on the road.

Is there Wi-Fi? Is it good enough for remote work?

Yes, this is Colorado, not Uranus.

Wi-Fi is standard & Gravity Haus stays are designed with modern travelers in mind. If you need higher reliability (video calls, uploads), ask about the fastest connectivity areas or our coworking space.

Do you have coworking space?

Yes, It's the coworking jewel of Winter Park.

Our coworking space is one of the finest in the land & the locals know it. With dedicated coworking areas, bookable conference rooms, bottomless coffee & other goodies we'll save for your tour - there's no better space for a little work/life balance. Our coworking space is reserved for hotel guests & members use only - Day Passes are available & include access to our fitness & recovery ammenities.

Want unlimited coworking? Explore our membership options.

Do you offer gear demos or rentals?

Yes, only the best delivered right to your room.

We've partnered with Ski Butlers to provide premium ski and snowboard gear rentals. We recommend booking ahead for the best inventory & availability. Gravity Haus Guests recieve 10% OFF gear renals when you book here - members enjoy 7 complimentary rentals (14 for families) per year & should book gear through the GH Life app.

Can I ship skis/gear to the property?

Send it.

You're welcome to ship items to the property, just give us a call to let us know. Please note that any shipping costs will be covered by you, through the carrier of your choice.

What’s the cancellation policy?

Plans change, we get it.

Cancellation terms depend on rate type and season. The most accurate policy is the one attached to your booking confirmation (refundable vs. prepaid, blackout periods, etc.).

Do you have quiet hours?

We're all here for a good time & some good sleep.

Most hotels observe quiet hours to keep the vibes mellow at night. If you’re traveling with a rowdy group, feel free to call ahead about optimal room placements to keep everyone happy.

Is smoking allowed?

Fresh mountain air only.

Most modern properties are non-smoking indoors (and often non-smoking on balconies/patios). If you need designated areas, ask the front desk.

How do I contact the property?

Fast answers, no runaround.

What are the best things to do in Winter Park?

Other than mobbing tacos & hunting untracked lines?

In winter, it's starts with skiing or boarding at Winter Park Resort and Mary Jane - but there's also heaps of other activities like snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, tubing, sledding, or a riding on the seasonal Winter Park Express from Denver. The resort offers terrain for first-timers to experts, while town makes it easy for families, groups, and non-skiers to enjoy a full day of exploring without spending all of it in ski boots.

Summer belongs to bikes and long days outside. Ride lift-served downhill trails at Trestle Bike Park, explore hundreds of miles of Fraser Valley singletrack, cruise the paved Fraser River Trail, hike, ride the scenic gondola, hit the alpine slide, or catch live music and events around town. Being roughly 70 miles from Denver makes Winter Park close enough for a spontaneous weekend, and wild enough to justify staying longer.

Feel free to ask your barista or bartender for the latest local itinerary & where to go for a good time -they know what they're talking about.
