Dog-Friendly Lodging at Gravity Haus Truckee-Tahoe
Our newest location transforms the award-winning Cedar House Sport Hotel into a fourth Gravity Haus outpost. Beautifully positioned in northern California between Palisades, Northstar and Lake Tahoe, dog-friendly summer adventures beckon in every direction from this elevated lodge. Dog-friendly hotel rooms are available and must be booked in advance. Upon arrival, dogs are set up with their own in-room doggie bed, bowl and treats, so you can explore and then refuel and reset in comfort with your best friend. Our pet fee is $50/night per dog for non-members and $25/night for Gravity Haus members!
Donner Memorial State Park
Open sunrise to sunset, this pet-friendly state park is prime for picnicking, boating, fishing and hiking (check signage; pets aren’t allowed on all of the trails).
Northstar Resort
Enjoy free dog-friendly gondola rides all summer at Northstar and take in the views of Lake Tahoe and beyond. Hike among the red fir and white pine and then stroll around the pet-friendly village.
Truckee River Regional Park
Frolic across 62 acres of dog-friendly nature trails at this popular park just a half mile south of downtown Truckee.
Tahoe City Kayak
Get out on the water for a row with Fido. This pet-friendly outfitter welcomes dogs in its tandem kayaks.
Kings Beach State Recreation Area
Share a picnic with your pooch under the pine trees and then cruise around paved paths before hitting the Raccoon Street Dog Area where pets can explore the path along the beach.
Palisades Tahoe Aerial Tram
Head to Olympic Valley for a dog-friendly scenic tram ride. Or hike up and tram down, following the Shirley Lake Trail and taking a pit stop to play fetch and let your pup swim in the lake.
