The Gravity Haus Dictionary: Dissecting our Haus Brands & their Terms

Welcome to the Gravity Haus Dictionary, your guide to understanding the unique lexicon that defines our community. Just as every home has special quirks, Gravity Haus has cultivated a set of terms, brands, and concepts that encapsulate our ethos, services, and experiences.

Haus Quiver

Derived from an archer’s quiver, where they store their arrows, the Haus Quiver represents a collection or arsenal of equipment and gear available for members to use during their outdoor adventures. Through Haus Quiver at Gravity Haus, you save the expense of buying, storing, and maintaining the equipment.

StarterHaus is the modern workspace designed and built for our Gravity Haus Members and their guests. Gravity Haus enables today’s active lifestyle—the seamless merging of work and play in the mountains. With StarterHaus, you have the ability to work alongside local and mobile entrepreneurs, hold conference calls between runs, and get the job done in your mountain bike gear.

StarterHaus’ locations include Vail, Breck, Winter Park, and Truckee-Tahoe.

Dryland Fitness

In athletic training, “dryland” often refers to exercises and conditioning done off the water or snow. At Gravity Haus, Dryland Fitness refers to our fitness and training program.

No matter what your personal goals are, our coaching philosophy, curated equipment, and functional group classes are designed to optimize your performance so you’re ready for every Gravity Haus adventure!

Dryland locations include Denver, Vail, Breck, Winter Park, and Truckee-Tahoe

JoinMe is our platform for Gravity Haus members to create, host, and attend experiences with other members in real life. With JoinMe, dive into a world where the esteemed Gravity Haus community becomes your gateway to forging new connections and embarking on fresh adventures.

Up for an adventure? Organize or attend a trail for a hike or a run, summit a 14er. Looking for something with a little less exertion? Host a networking event, gather at your favorite restaurant for dinner, grab a coffee with fellow members.

While “JoinMes” are informal gatherings and activities hosted by Gravity Haus Members. Events are more curated experiences, organized and structured by the Events Team at Gravity Haus.

Events begin with the Gravity Haus members’ interests in mind, our goal is to foster memorable experiences. Gravity Haus hosts 15-20 member events monthly, which all members are welcome to attend. Also, Gravity Haus offers its members, Overnight Experiences, where members are provided the opportunity to attend overnight wilderness retreats, each supported with the expertise of professional tour guides. Tailored for the beautiful outdoors with the comfort and hospitality that Gravity Haus is renowned for.

Unravel Coffee

This is not just another coffee shop; it’s a journey into the heart of coffee culture. “Unravel” begins with the stories, processes, and intricacies behind every cup of coffee they serve. Dedicated to direct farm access, co-producing, and importing coffee straight from Ethiopia in a sustainable way that brings communities together.

Cabin Juice | Breckenridge, Colorado

Evoking images of a cozy cabin and fresh, natural ingredients, “Cabin Juice” is centered around organic and comforting experiences. With a name that speaks to its rustic charm and cozy cabin vibes, this restaurant is a haven for both locals and visitors alike.

Slope Room | Vail, Colorado

Given the mountainous theme, “Slope Room” relates to the nearby slopes of Vail Mountain. Gracefully located in the heart of Vail, one of the world’s premier ski destinations, Slope Room seamlessly marries the rustic charm of a ski lodge with the sophistication of contemporary dining.

Le Bateau | Aspen, Colorado

Le Bateau” translates to “The Boat” in French. While honoring the foundations of French cuisine, Le Bateau incorporates fresh thinking and flavors from Vietnam, North Africa, and the Caribbean, which have influenced French cuisine over time.

Haus lingo

A playful twist on “hospitality”, this term emphasizes Gravity Haus’ commitment to offering exceptional services and accommodations, ensuring members feel right at home.

Haus Guides

These are Gravity Haus Member Success experts who curate the Member experience across each location and who are also responsible for leading various outdoor adventures and fun for all participants.

Haus Partners

A growing collection of Haus Partners, offering more than hotel savings — each new destination enhances your adventure-loving lifestyle with amenities that are good for you, good for the planet + an amazing experience.

A term combining “snow” and “apocalypse,” it playfully exaggerates the massive amounts of snowfall or intense winter conditions. Compounded by Gravity Haus’ annual Snowpocalypse party that commemorates the kick-off to the upcoming Winter season.
