Lately, we have seen a flood of Black outdoor influencers and adventurers on Instagram lately doing fun things in the great outdoors. As we move as a nation to infuse inclusivity in every aspect of our daily lives, we’re highlighting these 10 Black Outdoor Adventurers to follow today. I have a love hate relationship with this pic (possibly the only pic I have of my fly fishing - that you'll ever know of 😂). This is the face of me being completely anxious, a complete noob and not knowing what the hell I was wading/walking into. * I'm glad I didn't give up. I still suck, but I suck less. I'm still learning all the what's, when's and how's - but I'm learning. * Fly fishing is an art - a beautiful art. One that teaches patience, humility and perseverance - traits that so many of us could use (I know patience is not one of my virtues but I'm learning).

Climbing as Meditation // I started sport climbing 9 years ago during undergrad. I also run and cycle consistently, but I’ve truly missed the solace of climbing. I’ve missed having it as a refuge during these tough days. I miss late night bouldering sessions where there’s a comfortable quiet and focus when you need an escape. I miss campusing too. Climbing is still one of the few activities where the outside noise is silenced as I can only focus on just my movement and the wall, making it incredibly meditative. Summer vacation plans?!? With so many being weary of hotels and airplanes are you considering RV travel this year? You have your own bathroom and kitchen which limits your exposure to others and gas is at an all time low! In the past 18 months we've done 3 RV trips- no need to own an RV, we rent them and there isn’t any special license required for most. Our first RV trip was a Southwest road trip going to the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley and Horseshoe Bend...
