7 Ways We’re Raising the Sustainability Bar

It’s more than recycling. It’s a lifestyle.

At the very core, Gravity Haus stands for sustainability. We’re stewards for the planet. Before anything gets done, we stop and ask the big three: Is it good for you? Is it good for the planet? Is it an amazing experience?

We curate a sustainable experience for our adventure-loving community and we’re leading the eco-paved way in our industry. Here’s how we do it:

1. We partner with sustainable brands.

Companies that care draw our attention and our respect. We pass along brands like EO plant-based body products and energy-friendly Monarch Cypress kimono bathrobes in our thoughtfully designed guest rooms and spa and recovery zones. We encourage our guests and members to continue supporting these mindful brands at home by offering discounts through our site.

2. We value eco-conscious linens.

Gravity Haus guest rooms are outfitted in Parachute Home Bedding synthetic-free linens. No latex or harmful phthalates here. Parachute also partners with the United Nation’s Nothing But Nets campaign to send life-saving malaria-prevention bed nets to those in need.

3. You sleep better and safer.

Gravity Haus uses Winkbeds Mattresses made with soft New Zealand Wool sans chemicals, sprays or synthetic materials for a breathability up to seven times better than other types of latex or foam.

4. No paper or plastic cups here.

Our Unravel Café groundbreaking reusable glass jar program keeps thousands of paper cups and plastic lids out of landfills. Did you know Americans discard 58 billion coffee cups per year, enough to fill New York’s Central Park 90 feet high? Yeah. No bueno.

5. We encourage human-powered fun.

In a new partnership with Bluebird Backcountry, we’re offering backcountry ski experiences accessed by hiking up the mountain rather than taking a chair lift. More lungs and legs. Less diesel and electric motors.

6. We give back to Mama Nature.

And invite you to make a difference with Gravity Haus’ adopt a trail days and trail repair day events. These monthly member events are the perfect opportunity to give back to the community and to beautify and restore beloved trails in your backyard.

7. We source smarter food.

Slope Room, Unravel and Cabin Juice run on sustainable farm-to-fork regionally sourced ingredients. We support Colorado farmers and ranchers. You eat clean and green. It’s a win-win.
