Experience Fall Foliage in Winter Park

Catching the fall leaves in Winter Park, Colorado is as easy as looking around the gaping mountains surrounding the valley below. While that’s neat and all, we know what you really want is to lace up those hiking boots and hit the trail to catch the fall display like a proper outdoor enthusiast. Here are our top picks for experiencing the fall foliage in Winter Park, Colorado this autumn.

1. Rocky Mountain national park

Rocky Mountain National Park is just 45 minutes from Gravity Haus Winter Park and offers dozens of hiking options to experience the fall foliage. Don’t feel like getting out of the car? Driving through the park is equally breathtaking. Cruise up Trail Ridge Road and take in the beauty below from a birds eye view.

Be sure to read up on any permits or reservations you may need to acquire before making the drive to RMNP. Fall in the park is also an incredible time to watch the elk bugle! Learn more about Rocky Mountain National Park here.

2. CHAINSAW AND FLUME TRAILS

Head out by foot – or even better, by bike – on this trail just 10 minutes down the road from Gravity Haus Winter Park in Fraser, Colorado.
