Our Most Epic & Ikonic Spring Skiing Picks

Get excited for the season’s best powder-loaded terrain, sunsoaked parties and buzzy après scenes.

This season is flying by and we’re swiftly approaching that special time of year… Spring skiing is almost here! Here’s how to make the most of these longer days and (fingers crossed) deep fluffy snowfalls.

Sample all the best gear.

Now is the perfect time to tap into Haus Quiver and test drive those Icelantic powder skis or that new Burton snowboard you’ve been eyeing. Maybe book some premium touring gear and unlock new snowy spring terrain.

Achieve that sweet goggle tan.

Cold beers and fun fruity cocktails taste fabulous at 11, 000 feet. Preferably in the sun, on a patio, wearing goggles, surrounded by other smiling spring skiers.

Join the party in Winter Park.

Pack a costume, bring your retro onesie and tutu and book your Gravity Haus crash pad. Winter Park is hosting four Spring Bash + Splash weekends in April. Expect 80s cover bands, beer festivals and bluegrass jams, contests, prizes, country tunes, mechanical bulls and a high-energy pond skimming competition to close out the season.

Get into the backcountry.

Sign up for a guided adventure with our friends at Paragon and discover the famous 10th Mountain Division Hut high above Vail. The Gravity Haus two-day guided backcountry hut skiing and overnight dining experience on March 6 – 7 is going to be the spring trip not to miss.

Ski all the good stuff.

The good news about spring skiing? Everything is open. The snow is mashed-potatoes soft and super forgiving. Snowpacks are finally solid. And, if you hit it right, you can revel in a big spring storm followed by incredible bluebird days shredding leftover powder stashes.

Spring Terrain We Love…

WINTER PARK

Slush runs on Cranmer and bump lines down Super Gauge (go ahead and give those softened moguls a go!) are two spring rippers. Cruise freshly groomed Roundhouse for speed and Continental Divide views and take March Hare to find big powder in Vasquez Ridge.

BRECKENRIDGE

Take the t-bar and drop into wide-open Horseshoe Bowl, ride the Imperial Express (the highest lift in North America) and ski infamous Whale’s Tail or Imperial Bowl, or head over to Peak 6 and explore intermediate bowl Bliss or Wonderland’s expert terrain. It’s as delightful as it sounds.

Vail

Find cruise-able soft snow in Blue Sky Basin. You can spend a whole afternoon riding fluff from recent spring dumps and floating in tree pow. Over Yonder and Shangri-La Glade are locals faves. Don’t forget to bring a backpack of dogs and burgers to throw on one of Vail’s mountain deck grills for a sunny lunch break at 11,500 feet.

APRÈS A LITTLE LONGER.

Book a Gravity Haus snow cabana and host your own mountain après bash in Breck and Winter park! These sweet heated snow globes are outfitted with comfy couches, speakers, wifi and access to delish food and cocktails.

Stay and play all spring

Members receive up to 50% off lodging in Winter Park, Vail, Breckenridge, Telluride, Silverton, Truckee-Tahoe and beyond. Book that dream spring getaway and enjoy your adventure basecamp with all the perks, recovery zones, restaurants and co-working spaces you need to live your best mountain life.
