Which Type of Spring Skier are You?

Close out the season in style. Your style.

Springtime in Colorado really spoils us. Bottomless bluebird skies and brilliant sunshine beam down on our legendary peaks and big March storms roll in to freshen up our favorite pow stashes. It’s Rocky Mountain skiing at its prime.

Savor the mountains your way and close out the season in style. Pick your end-of-season pow personality!

The First Chair Corduroy Crusher

You go big. Every time. Roll out of your Gravity Haus suite and onto the hill to relish that early morning glory, when the groomed runs are ripe with pristine ribbing and there’s no one else around. Shed layers as the day goes on and head to Breck’s Imperial Express — the highest chairlift in North America — where snow stays soft and plentiful.

The Afternoon Delight

You like your snooze button. The warmer the air and softer the snow, the better. Enjoy your late start and let the sun do its thing before strolling onto the mountain. Grab brunch at Slope Room, Unravel or Cabin Juice and then ride the sunny soft stuff. Daylight savings hits on March 13 this year, meaning the sun stays higher longer and afternoon skiing is prime.

THE PATIO SIPPER

You sport a Hawaiian shirt, some sunscreen, a hat and funky shades. Tiki vibes and luaus are your jam. If there’s a slopeside beach lounger chair, you’re likely kicked back in it, boots in the slush, drink in hand, rays on your face. Mountain sunbathing is a spring sport. Get your Vitamin D — but be sure to take a few laps with your friends and dance at some end-of-season après parties.

The Mashed Potato Ripper

Springtime means playful easy snow conditions. Grab your kids, your life partner, your whole crew and rip cruise-able snow on Breck’s high alpine Peak 7, Vail’s back bowls and south-facing sunlit terrain and Winter Park’s Super Gauge where high-stoke moguls are soft and friendly. Roll right into that pond-skimming competition and dance in your ski boots to some springtime live music.

The Springtime Rambler

You love to get out of town each spring, get a new perspective, ski some fresh slopes. Call on Gravity Haus hotel partners to make your spring skiing dreams a reality. Ski in-ski out at the Madeline Hotel and shred the San Juan Mountains all day. Head to North Lake Tahoe and set up basecamp at the esteemed Cedar House Sport Hotel. Check off that bucket-list heli ski trip to Silverton and stay at the wild west historic Wyman Hotel.

We’ll see you on the slopes this spring!
