Hike a 14er: Quandary Peak

About the event: Join us in hiking the iconic Quandary Peak 14er that’ll leave you feeling accomplished and ready for more! This hike is not for the faint of heart. This is a 6.7 mile hike that’ll endure about 3,450 ft of elevation gain. The average time to complete this 14er is roughly 6 hours. You are more than welcome to take this hike at your own pace but please understand that this is an intermediate to advanced hike and you must come prepared physically (Do your Dryland!). We will ascend the East Ridge of Quandary Peak and will experience awesome views of the Mosquito and Tenmile Ranges at the top!

Please pack a lunch and lots of water (3L minimum). Snacks will also be great to have as well as hiking boots, hiking poles and a rain jacket. When you are hiking a 14er, layers are a necessity!

*Weather: As we approach the date, if there is inclement weather in the forecast we may need to cancel due to the danger of lightning in the alpine.

FAQs

• What to Bring? Lunch, lots of layers, snacks, at least 3L of water, hiking boots and poles.
• Where to meet? We will meet at the South Gondola Parking Structure and take the Quandary Peak and McCullough Gulch shuttle to the trailhead. The shuttle leaves at 6:30am sharp and it is first come first serve so please arrive early to ensure a spot on the shuttle.
