GRAVITY HAUS PARTNER SPOTLIGHT: DYNAFIT & POMOCA
We know you’re itching to get into the backcountry for pristine pow turns and peaceful solitude. So we’ve teamed up with the first name in touring technology. Dynafit’s brand story begins in the ski boot world, bringing Manfred and Fritz Barthel’s idea for a low-tech pin binding to life, and debuting the “Tourlite” boot in the early ‘80s.
In addition to its dedicated sustainability program, Dynafit embodies the athletic pursuit that’s built into Gravity Haus ethos. “Is it good for you?” Yes, this for-athletes-by-athletes brand is rooted in endurance and aerobic pursuit.
Gravity Haus partnered with Dynafit to bring the best demo-style touring binding to the Haus Quiver fleet and to give Gravity Haus members a taste of what a truly light touring set-up can approach with the TLT X boot and BL95 ski kit.
The Dynafit brand excels as an innovative winter sports equipment leader, namely with its touring boots’ creative and well-engineered walk and ski modes and tech bindings.
Dynafit Products Shoutout
The brand also stays true to its heritage, says Haus Quiver program head Matt Pacocha. Dynafit produces some of the industry’s most unique and creative equipment designs — this shows up in their super light tech race binding weighing less than 49-grams (P49) and refined and adjustable demo-style tech binding like the ST Rotation Rental that we spec in the Haus Quiver fleet; the super light TLT X boot features a BOA lacing system and single-lever walk mode that opens both the main buckle and power strap, which is also included in the Haus Quiver.
POMOCA makes one thing — Swiss climbing skins. The premier brand has done this for 90 years and produces 10 different skin models for skis (and a few for splitboards) that vary by temperature, moisture, weight, glide and grip. The most basic POMOCA skin climbs and glides with the best of them, says Pacocha. You’ll experience POMOCA’s Climb 2.0 skin anytime you take out a pair of Haus Quiver touring skis.
POMOCA is committed to sustainability, upcycling and recycling of production waste. They’re made in Switzerland using Angora goat wool, commonly known as mohair, sourced from fair trade markets in South Africa. POMOCA’s products are PFC-free and their factory uses 100-percent hydroelectricity.
The icing on the cake? POMOCA has captured the scent of Powder Snow and added a little bag of it to each kit, which also acts as a drying agent.
