ANDREA ROSENTHAL
COMMUNITY DEVELOPER
Meet Andrea, Gravity Haus’s newest addition when it comes to building community! Andrea was one of our very first members at Gravity Haus from waaaay back in the day – December 2019. She does her Dryland, has grown her community through Gravity Haus, and you can find her sipping her Unravel almond milk cappuccino on the daily.
As the Gravity Haus community grows, we saw a great opportunity to bring Andrea on board, and really give all of our members the attention they deserve. Whether it be touring the facilities, better understanding your member benefits, upgrading opportunities, or simply having someone to say hello to in Cabin Juice or Slope Room, that’s Andrea’s purpose here at Gravity Haus!
Q&A WITH ANDREA
Q. What is your role within the Gravity Haus community?
A. I am all things membership! From helping to bring on new members to add to our community, supporting events, having coffee or a drink with members and chatting about Gravity Haus, to helping solve problems and making the Gravity Haus experience better!
Q. How did you land in Summit County?
A. I grew up in a suburb of Albany, NY — Loudonville. I went to William Smith College and played D-III college soccer there. I moved to Summit straight out of college in November 2008. I had a liberal arts degree and no clue what I wanted to do with it or do next, so skiing sounded like a good plan. After coaching stints in Minnesota and Colorado Mesa, I was hired as the Executive Director for the High Country Soccer Association in 2015 and I was there making the most of our mountain town until this opportunity with Gravity Haus came along!
Q. What do you love about living here?
A. This town is my home. I’ve felt connected since I moved here. I love this community, how connected everyone is and the perks of living in a community where we care about one another, along with the environment and getting outside and having adventures in the outdoors.
Q. What are your favorite adventures?
A. Ski adventures are by far my favorite. I’m pretty simple though; physical activity, good food and my friends and I’m happy! I have a personal goal to say “yes” to more adventures in the coming years.
Q. Favorite Gravity Haus membership perk?
A. I’m a religious Drylander. I signed up (for the gym) in December 2019. Through the gym, I have met so many amazing individuals I now call my friends who I never would’ve met if not for Gravity Haus. Then there’s the almond milk cappuccinos that the staff at Unravel Coffee have me addicted to!
Q. Piece of gear you couldn’t live without?
A. If I can only have one…probably my ski boots (Atomic Redster Club Sport 110’s). If I had my choice and my big fat calves fit into men’s boots, I’d be rocking a 120+ flex, but women’s cuffs are lower so they are the only boots my big ol calves fit into.
