Event Overview
About the Carving Clinic: Experience the thrill of carving turns on groomed trails. Join PSIA-AASI National Team Member Josh Fogg for a full day on snow and access the latest in carving performance with Rossignol’s award-winning FORZA and NOVA ski collections.
We’ll start with the basics of carving using different drills and large turns. The drills and activities will focus on how to make the skis slice through the snow, position your body to balance in a carved turn, and how to manage your speed. We’ll make use of drills like Crab Walks, Outrigger Turns, Stem Christies, Railroad Track Turns, and Tuck Turns to hone in on your carving skills.
About Josh: Josh started his ski teaching career in western Maine in the late 80’s. Now he is the Training Director at the Aspen Snowmass Ski and Snowboard School, a two-term member of the PSIA-AASI National Team, and PSIA Examiner. He has taught skiing in the USA, Argentina, New Zealand, China, and Chile. He uses a mix of “what” and “how” to help people achieve results in their skiing and walk away with a game plan to continue their development.
