Event Overview

  • Skill Level: Intermediate
  • Event Type: Adventure, Hike

About the event: Join us for a morning of winter hiking! We will hit the trail at exactly 9am so please plan to arrive a bit early to find parking and meet the crew. We will hike and then enjoy a special treat by Moxie Bread after the hike in the lot! We will be hiking Mt Falcon East Trail in Moorison. This is a 6-mile loop ranked as intermediate due to the high elevation gain so please come prepared. Find more about the trail we chose here(note the trail is different on AllTrails than the route we will be taking).

About Carly: Carly Moree was the first woman to attempt the men’s unsupported record on the 223-mile John Muir Trail/Nüümü Poyo. She is the co-author of the popular thru-hiking book Pacific Crest Trials, and has hiked and run thousands of miles on trails, including the Grand Canyon rim to rim to rim, both the Pacific Crest Trail and Appalachian Trail, and the Tahoe Rim Trail. She is an outdoor consultant, author, writer, and endurance athlete. Carly is passionate about providing coaching and workshops centered around helping others step into their full abilities on trail (and in life) through hiking, backpacking, and running. Carly can (mostly) be found living in Golden, Colorado.
