About This Trip

Join us for an idyllic weekend escape only an hour and 15 minutes from Denver! The campsite’s name, Pike’s Peak View, pays homage to the amazing view it bestows of Pike’s Peak off in the distance. The site itself lies at the base of Little Scraggy Peak, with easy access to miles of hiking and mountain biking trails. Each day caters to an array of interests from live music and campfires by nightfall to fly fishing, hiking, and yoga by day. Sit back and relax while Colorado based campfire catering company, Wyld Honey’s, cooks up delicious breakfasts and dinners that’ll fuel your weekend adventures

This weekend will give you a chance to bid farewell to summer and camp in an open forest of turning aspens. Don’t fret if you didn’t make it to the mountains during the bustle of summer; now is the perfect opportunity to participate in your favorite summertime activities in cooler temperatures. Whether you intend to exert yourself across adventures, take it easy and recharge, or a blend of both, let Gravity Haus welcome you to Pike’s Peak View Campsite.

Tell Me More About Pike’s Peak View Campsite

Pike’s Peak View Campsite is located on 95 acres of a historic 160-acre family run ranch. The ranch has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1976. This totally off-grid site is surrounded by Pike National Forest, yet has easy access from a paved road.

This location is the ideal basecamp for the casual or dedicated trail enthusiast. The ranch itself has several trails to explore within and just outside of the ranch’s fence lines, with direct access to the 9.5-mile Little Scraggy Trail and Segment #3 of the Colorado Trail. Just 3.5 miles away is the Little Scraggy Trailhead, where you will find easy access for biking and hiking on the many other trails of the Buffalo Creek area. Additionally, there is an extensive network of hiking trails that avoid conflicts with mountain bikers.

Tell Me More about Fly Fishing

Explore a scenic stretch of the South Platte River with the best local guides. This fly fishing adventure caters to all skill levels and promises excellent trout fishing. Guests are advised to leave the campsite at 6:15 on Saturday morning for a 7am start to the day at Native Fly Shop. There you will be outfitted with rods, waders, boots, and flies, and meet up with your guides! This is a 4 hour long fly fishing trip. To- go breakfast will be provided. Please pack your own water, snacks, and sunscreen.

Tell Me More about Cherokee Ranch & Castle

Experience this outstanding Colorado Landmark! As there website states, “Cherokee Castle’s unique architecture combines aspects of the Western United States and a 1450’s Scottish-style castle built in the 1920’s. The Castle is home to historic collections of fine art, furnishings and memorabilia from around the world. A guided Tour of the Castle offers an intimate look upon one of Colorado’s finest hidden gems and all of the treasures housed inside.” Members are advised to depart from Camp GH at 8:45 on Saturday morning to arrive in time for the 10am guided tour.
