All-new coffee From Ethiopia Has Arrived at Unravel
Unravel Coffee brings agriculturally sound and sustainable coffee to Denver, Breckenridge, Vail and Winter Park. Expect diverse, balanced coffees from Guatemala and Ethiopia at Unravel this fall and winter.
Unravel Coffee is changing the way we enjoy a cuppa joe. With in-haus roasting, reusable glass jars and close relationships with sustainable small farm producers, the Gravity Haus coffee concept uses coffee as a force for good.
Director of Operations Kyle Lopez and team collaborate at the farm level and participate in the coffee cycle harvest and processing. The team makes decisions on how much and how to process the coffee cherries to create distinct taste profiles and follows the seed to the import process.
Here’s what’s coming down the pike for Unravel coffee this fall and winter:
Delicious New Coffees
The Unravel team makes thoughtful decisions to ensure distinct flavor profiles. We believe in an unraveled “seed to cup” supply chain, sustainable farming practices and maintaining close relationships with and fair prices for farmers.
With these ethos in mind, we’ve partnered with Lote Magnolia farm in San Martin Jilotepeque, Guatemala on a new blend component for our flagship coffee, “Two Stitch.” This is the first year that Unravel has ventured outside of Ethiopia. Our team chose this lot for its chocolate-forward coffee that tastes great in milk. While also having a very balanced cup without milk.
“We have found this coffee to be chocolate forward with a nice fruit finish,” Lopez says. Find it on our menus as espresso at all cafes and drip coffee at Cabin Juice in Breckenridge.
There’s also a Washed Yirgacheffe hitting our shelves from a fresh crop that just arrived from Ethiopia. Unravel plans to release the first coffee from this crop in time for Thanksgiving.
“The goal behind venturing into other origins in the world is to show the diversity of different regions. As well as help create a more sustainable future for other producers across the globe,” Lopez says.

Sustainability Bragging Rights
We have to take a minute for a well-earned sustainability high-five! Through our unique to-go reusable glass jar program, we have saved more than 100,000 paper cups from landfills year to date. In Denver alone, we’ve protected landfills from accumulating 23,100 cups and our mountain town Unravel outposts have collectively prevented 93,300 cups from sitting in landfills. Keep up the amazing work and don’t forget to bring your glass jars back for refills!
Our guests, farmers, communities and the environment are at the heart of every decision we make, no matter how big or small. Step into one of our cafés in Denver, Breckenridge, Vail and Winter Park or look into our convenient coffee subscription service for both Gravity Haus members & non-members, and savor the Unravel experience from the comfort of your home.
