About This Trip

This is our all-time favorite way to spend time with our friends and family. This fully-guided and all-inclusive overnight rafting and camping adventure takes place on the beautiful and pristine Upper Colorado River in between Pumphouse and State Bridge. Trip includes 2 full days of rafting and exploring and one beautiful night of river-side camping. All meals will be provided and cooked by your professional river guides.

This section of the Colorado River offers scenic views including meadows, valleys, rolling ranch lands and steep canyon walls and wildlife including bald eagles, deer, beaver, and bighorn sheep – always something to see.

This section of the Colorado River offers scenic views including meadows, valleys, rolling ranch lands, steep canyon walls, and lots of wildlife. Upper Colorado River Rafting provides mild Class I-II rapids and occasional Class III rapids at higher water flow. The Colorado River is our favorite family friendly rafting trip.

Beginning as snowmelt high in Rocky Mountain National Park, the Colorado Rockies give birth to the legendary Colorado River. Downstream of the national park, the river character begins to intensify through the famed and Class 5 “Gore Canyon,” and then below, the river gentles. This is where our Colorado River Rafting experiences begin, with a mild introduction to white water rafting for families with kids and grandparents, and anyone looking for a true Colorado vacation.

Itinerary

2 Weeks Prior

• Virtual pre-trip orientation meeting, where you’ll “meet” your host and fellow adventurers, and review all details in preparation for your trip.

Saturday, August 5

• Meet at the Rancho del Rio boathouse
• Gear up & meet your guides
• Shuttle ride to Pumphouse on the Upper Colorado River
• River time with hikes, rapids, warm springs, & rock jumps
• Tasty river bank lunch served by your guide
• More river time
• Arrive at your pre-set Rancho camp
• Free time
• Riverside dinner prepared by your guides
• Camp under the stars by the wild and scenic Colorado River

Sunday, August 6

• Rise & shine to a hot, gourmet breakfast
• River time & a visit to the endearing Rancho Del Rio
• Tasty river bank lunch served by your guides
• River time & rapids
• Take out at State Bridge
• Shuttle back to the Rancho del Rio boathouse
