Intro to Cross Country Skiing: Classic or Skate

About the Event: Join us at the Breck Nordic Center to learn how to cross country ski in one of two ways: classic or skate! While both are branches of cross-country skiing, classic skiing is the older skiing technique that uses diagonal strides to mimic walking. Classic skiing can be done on a wide range of snowy surfaces, but skate skiing requires specially groomed tracks, as well as its own set of equipment.

Groups are limited to 7 each, so register for the class style (traditional or skate) that you prefer at checkout.

After your lesson, both groups will meet back at the Oh Be Joyful Lodge for happy hour and hot cocoa together.

• Directions/Parking/Bus: Located 1/2 mile up Ski Hill Road, past the Shock Hill Bridge. Turn right onto our driveway: North Grandview Drive and into our free parking lot. If you arrive by shuttle bus be sure to ask your driver for the Breckenridge Nordic Center stop.
