About Gravity Haus Overnight Experiences

Gravity Haus creates best-in-class experiences that welcome our community to spend time in reverence of the great outdoors, where you’ll embrace your inner adventurer, disconnect from the grind of daily life, and develop relationships with your fellow Gravity Haus members as you create memories outside, together.

About This Trip

This 3-day itinerary – led by an expert guide certified in Wilderness First Aid – will take you into the backcountry of Rocky Mountain National Park, where you’ll earn your trail snacks by covering 15+ miles of hiking, camp on an island, enjoy delicious backcountry meals, and create memories with fellow members under the untouched Colorado night sky.

Highlights

2 Weeks Prior

  • Virtual pre-trip orientation meeting, where you’ll “meet” your host and fellow adventurers, and review all details in preparation for your trip.

Friday, August 11 (6 miles)

  • We’ll meet at the East Inlet Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park at 8 am and begin our 5.5-mile hike to the Gray Jay campground. This hike is uphill and can be considered strenuous, so we’ll take our time. We’ll set up camp and enjoy dinner and dessert.

Saturday, August 12 (6 miles)

  • The morning will start off with a hot mountain breakfast and a hot beverage, and then we will begin our day hike to Lone Pine Lake, Lake Verna, and Spirit Lake. We’ll be leaving all of our gear behind for this hiking adventure so that we can fully enjoy everything the hike has to offer, without carrying extra weight. The hike to Lone Pine Lake is under 1 mile from our base camp, Lake Verna is 2 miles from camp and sits at an elevation of 10,300 feet, and Spirit Lake (also at 10,300 feet) is 3 miles from camp. We’ll enjoy lunch near one of these lakes (weather permitting) and soak our feet in the alpine water. After lunch, we’ll make our way back to our campsite. Dinner at camp!

Sunday, August 13 (6 miles)

  • Breakfast at Lone Pine Lake to have coffee, tea, and breakfast.
  • Hike back to the trailhead.
