About This Trip

Pack your biking and hiking gear for this fall getaway, where you will get to experience south central Colorado in all of its golden glory. Nestled between the Sawatch Range and the Arkansas River, this valley has no shortage of adventures beckoning us to discover.

Join your fellow members to create extraordinary memories through a packed schedule of outdoor activities and dining experiences. Summit a 14er in the Sawatch Range (we’ll choose Huron, Shavano or Princeton based on group interest and skill level), mountain bike through the golden leaves of the changing aspens, soak in the natural hot springs of Chalk Creek, and more. We trust that your experiences here will create the moments and memories you’ve been dreaming about.

Our hotel partner, the Amigo Motor Lodge, will play as basecamp on this epic adventure of the stunning Salida/Buena Vista area.

Highlights

2 Weeks Prior

• Virtual pre-trip orientation meeting, where you’ll “meet” your host and fellow adventurers, and review all details in preparation for your trip.

Thursday, September 22nd – no programming

• Recommended that you stay overnight at the Amigo Motor Lodge as we have an early morning!

Friday, September 23rd

• Breakfast: Breakfast burritos to-go
• Morning Hike – 2 Options: 14er Summit attempt (we’ll choose Huron, Shavano or Princeton based on group interest and skill level) OR Hike Ptarmigan Lake Trail
• Lunch: Riverside picnic lunch
• Afternoon: Hot Springs outing
• Dinner

Saturday, September 24th

• Breakfast: Little Red Hen Bakery
• Morning MTB Ride – 2 Options: Monarch Crest Trail to Silver Creek OR Greens Creek Trail
• Lunch: On own
• Dinner: Private paired dinner at Soulcraft Brewing

Sunday, September 25th

• Breakfast: On own
• Morning: Indoor Yoga Class at Yoga Tonic Studio
• Depart, or stick around and make your own adventure!
